Parchi eolici vs. paesaggio: un conflitto di interessi davvero arduo da risolvere (commento a sentenze)

This comment examines a case in which an enterprise requested an authorization to build a wind farm. The request was examined in a conference of services and despite the dissent of the Ministry of Culture the Region issued the authorization. The judge accepted the appeal filed by various parties and annulled the authorization due to lack of motivation and investigation. Reasonable solution, because the conflict of interests between economic initiative and landscape protection is very difficult to resolve, especially when the economic activity produces positive externalities, just like a wind farm.
