Recent observation of beta decay of In-115 to the first excited level of Sn-115 with an extremely low Q(beta) value (Q(beta) <= O( 1) [ keV]) could be used to set a limit on neutrino mass. To give a restriction potentially competitive with those extracted from experiments with H-3 (similar or equal to 2 eV) and Re-187 (similar or equal to 15 eV), the atomic mass difference between In-115 and Sn-115 and energy of the first Sn-115 level should be remeasured with higher accuracy ( possibly of the order of similar to 1 eV).

Abstract
Recent observation of beta decay of In-115 to the first excited level of Sn-115 with an extremely low Q(beta) value (Q(beta) <= O( 1) [ keV]) could be used to set a limit on neutrino mass. To give a restriction potentially competitive with those extracted from experiments with H-3 (similar or equal to 2 eV) and Re-187 (similar or equal to 15 eV), the atomic mass difference between In-115 and Sn-115 and energy of the first Sn-115 level should be remeasured with higher accuracy ( possibly of the order of similar to 1 eV).File in questo prodotto:
