Visually impaired people are often discouraged inusing electronic aids due to complexity of operation, large amountof training, nonoptimized degree of information provided to theuser, and high cost. In this paper, a new multisensor architectureis discussed, which would help blind people to perform urbanmobility tasks. The device is based on a multisensor strategy andadopts smart signal processing.
