Aim. Secretory otitis media is a subacute or chronic disease with a multifactorial etiopathogenesis and is characterized by a mucous secretion in the tympanic cavity. Methods. The authors applied the tube autoinsufflatory method in a group of 15 patients affected by tube dysfunction. Results and conclusions. The results of autoinsufflation point out the usefulness of this technique as a complementary therapy, together with the pharmacological treatment, in order to obtain a resolution of the disease as soon as possible.
