The scenario of the Auchenorrhyncha fauna of Sicily shows about 40% of taxa inhabiting the Italian territories. In the present contribution 358 species with a sufficiently known distribution, are considered. The majority of them has a Mediterranean distribution (about 35% of the total) with prevalence of theWest-Mediterranean and endemic ones. These groups, together with those showing Central-Asiatic or Turanian distribution (about 19%) and Euro- Mediterranean distribution (about 13%), are the most characteristic of the Auchenorrhyncha fauna of Sicily. Generally they are thermophile species, well adapted in the xeric and subxeric habitats, widespread in Sicily.
