In this work the author theorizes on the civil philosophy and the foundation of comparative law according to Amari in the historicol and cultural event of 19th-century Italy and Europe. Paying particular attention to the Unification of Italy and to French and German contemporary culture, the paper focuses on the relations between Amari and the Italian philosophers, from Vico to Romagnosi.
