Abstract

Photovoltaic solar panels are nowadays widely used for generating green energy at even more lower costs. In order to maintain high power plant efficiency, panels have to be maintained clean and in the past years a number of solutions appeared on the market. Common methodologies starts from hand-made clean to some fixed cleaning machines that have to be applied to each panels array. In this work a new automatic, autonomous and reusable cleaning machine is presented. The machine has been designed keeping in mind most of the issues that panel cleaning operations show in real world. The design is described here from CAD simulation and design to real field tests.
