The biological implications of chirality in male genitalia in praying mantises are not well understood. Holwell &Herbestein (2010) and Howell et al. (2015) studied this phenomenon in some species of Ciulfinia (C. baldersoni, C.rentzi, C. klassi and C. biseriata) in Australia. They showed that the presence different genital orientation in males islikely an example of antisymmetry, and apparently selectively neutral. In fact, males with either normal or reversalorientations readily are able to mate with the same female and produce viable offspring. This is the first report
