Background: Fibrous dysplasia is a benign disorder consisting of monostotic or polyostotic proliferation offibrous tissue and bone. Neurological involvement can be manifested by optic nerve compression when the fibrous lesion is localised to the cranial or facial bones. Seizures in the setting offibrous dysplasia have been rarely described with incomplete data in small series of patients.Case Report: We report on a 10 year old girl with partial seizures who had orbital bone fibrous dysplasia disclosed by chance during head neuroimaging investigation obtained for re-evaluation of her epilepsy. Clinical syndromes with fibro-osseous lesions of the fibrous dysplasia type were ruledout on clinical, laboratory and imaging grounds. Conclusions: The calculated chance concurrence of fibrous dysplasia and epilepsy was approximately 0.0000006% and therefore even though this association could be coincidental an increasedsusceptibility to a epileptic disorder in patient with fibrous dysplasia of the cranial vault can not be excluded.
