Indeed, the question “quid sit veritas” is an obsession of Eco’s which his theory and novels try to clarify: the distinction between fake and forgery, the influence of the feuilleton model on conspiracy theory, the invention of an enemy, are the elements that could be taken into consideration for the purpose of exploring the node between invention and falsification.
