On black olives cultivar "Moresca" grew in Sicily, some physical-chemical characteristics important for quality have been determined. Discriminant analysis applied to results has not allowed the classification of samples in definitive groups. These results show a constant quality of fruits apart from production area (coastal or inside hills), while problems related to pest control make safer the hilly inside productions.

Abstract

On black olives cultivar "Moresca" grew in Sicily, some physical-chemical characteristics important for quality have been determined. Discriminant analysis applied to results has not allowed the classification of samples in definitive groups.
