This contribution analyzes partnerships’s role for the development of lifelong learning systems on a territorial basis. It reflects on the possibility of creating collaborative learning environments at different levels (local, regional, national), thanks to the collaboration between all the stakeholders in the education system. In particular, the text reflects on the creation of territorial networks in Italy as a model for implementing the lifelong learning system.
