Erectile dysfunction (ED) is common in men with Parkinson’s disease (PD), especially in elderly, and depressive symptoms are also reported in patients with PD. One can observe in thè everyday practice that elderly parkinsonian patients can show depression correlated even to ED. The purpose of our study was to evaluate thè efficacy of sildenafil, an orally active agent for thè treatment of ED in elderly patients with PD, with moderate depression, associated to ED and treated only with dopamine agonist (pramipexole) (Hoehn-Yahr stage 1-2).
