The contribution focuses on the Italian language and on the dialect of some descendants of immigrants who after the unification of Italy arrived in Tunisia and it proceeds from oral productions taken from docufilms and direct inquiries, taking into account, on one hand, the Demaurian approach (De Mauro, 1963) and the interpretative models of Italian emigration defined by Turchetta, Vedovelli (2018) and Vedovelli (2011, 2020, 2021) (just to mention some), and on the other hand the heuristic and evaluative tools of the literature relating to linguistic variation, linguistic change and interlinguistics. The goal is to start studies on the residual varieties of Italian under the competence of the Italian Tunisians and on the phenomena of linguistic interference detectable in the linguistic context of the country, as well as on some extra-linguistic factors.

Abstract
The goal is to start studies on the residual varieties of Italian under the competence of the Italian Tunisians and on the phenomena of linguistic interference detectable in the linguistic context of the country, as well as on some extra-linguistic factors.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
