The focus of this study is on the project Alicia3 climbing robot. The aim of this project is to develop a system that can be adopted in a variety of applications, such as maintenance, building, inspection, and safety, in the process and construction industries. This new robot have a wide range of application fields due to its pneumatic adhesion system with onboard vaccum generation as well as its very flexible sealing to cope with different wall shapes and types while allowing high payload capabilities. The robot's design targets are made through a series of preliminary prototypes, Alicia I prototype and Alicia II, to better analyze all the problems arising in this type of structure.

Abstract
The focus of this study is on the project Alicia3 climbing robot. The aim of this project is to develop a system that can be adopted in a variety of applications, such as maintenance, building, inspection, and safety, in the process and construction industries. This new robot have a wide range of application fields due to its pneumatic adhesion system with onboard vaccum generation as well as its very flexible sealing to cope with different wall shapes and types while allowing high payload capabilities. The robot's design targets are made through a series of preliminary prototypes, Alicia I prototype and Alicia II, to better analyze all the problems arising in this type of structure.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
