The paper aims to present the results of a research conducted between December 2023 and January 2024 (with 9,872 questionnaires collected), focused on four main dimensions (knowledge of AI, use of AI apps, attitude towards AI apps, attitude towards AI in general) to gauge public perception of artificial intelligence. Initial findings show an attitude of inevitability regarding the spread of AI, associated with significant consequences on work and daily life, with the view that opportunities outweigh the threats.
