Blockchain technology has emerged as a promising solution to enhance traceability, transparency, and quality assurance. This study examines the adoption of blockchain technology in the olive oil supply chain, organizing the existing literature into four thematic clusters (traceability and consumer trust; quality management; transparency; technological integration). The findings highlight blockchain's potential to improve supply chain integrity, especially when combined with internet of things sensors and smart contracts, while identifying technological, financial and organizational barriers to widespread adoption.
